NSW: NSW Easter road toll rises to four
SYDNEY, April 11, AAP - The NSW Easter road toll has risen to four with the death of
a pedestrian in a hit-run incident in Sydney's west.
Police say a man believed to be in his 20s was hit by a car on James Ruse Drive, Rosehill,
near the intersection of Prospect Street at around 3am on Saturday.
He was treated by ambulance officers but died at the scene.
Police were told the man was attempting to cross James Ruse Drive when he was hit by
a black 4WD, which failed to stop.
James Ruse Drive is expected to remain closed until at least 8am while investigations
continue, and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that may assist investigating
police is urged to contact Rosehill police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
