Fed: AG refuses to be minister that bring Hicks and Habib home

Attorney General PHILIP RUDDOCK today says he would not want to be known as the minister
who brought Australian terror suspects DAVID HICKS and MAMDOUH HABIB home.

News that five British detainees are to be returned home has seen renewed calls for
the release of HICKS and HABIB, who have been held at the US base at Guantanamo Bay for
more than two years without charge.

Mr RUDDOCK has told reporters in Melbourne that he's ruled out calling for the United
States to send the pair …
